METWAY SPONSORS DUBLIN BOXER JAY BYRNE
Jay returns to the ring after 3 years for his 18th pro fight on 8th April in Waterford, Dublin.
Following bouts with previous Olympians Josh Kelly, Anthony Fowler and Felix Cash, Jay’s record includes the Boxing Union of Ireland Celtic title winning by KO and the British Boxing Board of Control Celtic title against Scotland’s Mark Kerr. This was successfully defended against Stefan Sanderson of Scotland at the famous Trump Turnberry.
Jay’s aim is to secure the Irish title later this year in either Dublin or Belfast’s Ulster Hall – the venue of our own MD’s first fight almost 30 years ago.
We all wish Jay every success in his fight for the Irish title.
